A superb book! When you consider that I downloaded a single "shareware" contract for artists that the author wanted $50 for, you realize the value of this book. And this book comes with a CD-rom with all the forms in electronic format, so you don't even have to go to the trouble to type or scan them in! This is the essential book for all graphic artists.

I found this book to be very helpful and well- thought-out. The author has provided an extremely powerful tool. He has thoroughly covered practically every situation a commercial artist is likely to face. This book contains 21 complete tear-out forms appropriately prepared for specific business matters such as estimates, collaboration, illustrator-agent agreement, consignment and sale of artwork just to name a few. This new revised edition conveniently includes forms on a CD-ROM. It also includes a detailed explanation on how to use each form. The legal advice found in this book will surely save you a great deal of time and money which is invaluable to any working artist. "BACK CAST: That part of the fly cast where the rod and line are lifted up and backward so the line travels straight behind the caster.

FORWARD CAST: The delivery portion of the fly cast. The forward cast starts when the line has straightened out behind.

FALSE CAST: Back and forward casts that allow the angler to lengthen the amount of line being cast before the line is allowed to drop to the water. False casts help the angler change the direction of casting. A few snappy false casts also help remove excess water from dry flies. An interesting and well written story of one woman's life. You will not be disappointed in this book. Ida's life is written in novel form with her many triumphs and disappointments drawing the reader in. I couldn't wait to get back to Ida and her life while I was reading this book.

I am not the typical book reader you usually see in this site. I seldom read, because I get easily distracted and bored. Yet this book was great. Now I want to read more books on Western Colorado hoping to find other stories as interesting as this was.

This book should be required reading for every woman living on the Western Slope of Colorado. The format reads like a novel, but Ms McManus inserts factoids at chapter breaks to remind the reader what else was going on in the state & nationally to put Ida's travails into perspective. I thoroughly enjoyed this read & would highly recommend it to anyone interested in Western History and women's adventure stories.

For any one who is researching their family name of "Crawford and Rosebrook out of the White Mountains of New Hampshire and Vermont.
I have read this book several times and have learned a lot from it. I still continue to read it.
It took a considerable amount of determinaton from both of these families. They had the forsight to see the future and built on that.
Thorough good times and bad, they perservered.

THIS BOOK WAS REALLY ABOUT A GUY WHO JUST WANTED TO FIND A TRAIL TO GET THROUGH THE WHITE MOUNTAINS SO OTHER VISITER OF THAT TIME COULD GET THROUGH. I THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD BOOK FOR HISTORIANS WHO LIKE THE MOUNTAINS AND THE OUTDOORS. IT WILL WANT TO KEEP YOU READING TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT TO THE MAN. VERY STIMULATING AND KEEPS YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT.

NOBODY WANTS BARKLEY is the second in my series about Barkley the dog. In it I used my own background in obedience training and did some research on how the 4-H dog training program works. I already knew about farmers and sheep because my father raised sheep. I loved writing the scene about the dogs knocking over the table of refreshments.

This book was wonderful because Barkley just wanted a friend and whith out knowing it he got into allot of trouble. I recomend this book to who ever love dogs.

No matter how hard he tries he can't stay out of trouble, he only wants a freind.

I bought this book after my first year of teaching, looking for a management plan that motivates children to take responsibiliy for their own actions. I was very happy with my purchase. The ideas that Bonnie shares are winners and work great in elementary classrooms. The difference between my first year and my second year were amazing. A good book for teachers of all phases in their careers.

Writing out of a Quaker background, the late Douglas Steere has offered excellent advice on prayer. Ostensibly for the beginner, this newly revised edition will be welcome and useful to all Christians. Steere has solid theology and is obviously a master of his material. He draws on a wide variety of authors and traditions and presents it all in a unified and simple way, easy to read and lucidly clear. He deals with the widest variety of topics: what prayer is, why we pray, the God-centered nature of prayer, meditation, oral prayer, intercessory prayer, congregational prayer, distractions, autosuggestion, habit and routine, to name but a few, and manages to cast new light and insight on each. A less fortunate feature of his style is his constant citing of other authors, some quotations magnificent finds, some barely apposite. It makes the text read at times like a pile of index cards. He may do it to undergird his own insights with external authority, but he himself speaks with sufficient obvious authority and reads best when he writes simply and without citations what is in his own heart and mind.

This is a wonderful book. I LOVE it. It is divided into short sections that are rich and deep. I read it before praying each morning. I am sure i will read it again and again, and I'm buying three copies for friends. (I am a Quaker, like Steere).
